Privacy Policy

Account information: name, email address, username, phone number, and password (for invited admin and team accounts) or third-party sign-in identifiers (for social login).

Verification information: for buyers, profile-completion details (date of birth, residential and delivery addresses, profile photo); for sellers, KYC data such as identity numbers and business details processed through our verification partner.

Transaction information: orders, escrow and payout records, and payment references. Card and bank details are handled by our payment partner, Paystack, and are not stored by Unveeyl.

Usage and device information: log data, device identifiers, and interactions with the Platform, collected to operate, secure, and improve our services.

To create and manage your account, verify your identity, and enable buying, selling, messaging, and payouts.

To process orders, hold and settle escrow through our payment partner, apply the platform service charge, and resolve disputes.

To send transactional communications (order updates, escrow and dispute notifications, verification and subscription notices) and, where permitted, service-related announcements.

To detect and prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, comply with legal obligations, and improve the Platform, including through aggregated analytics.

With other users as necessary to complete transactions — for example, a seller sees the delivery details required to fulfill an order, and a buyer sees seller store information.

With service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, including: Paystack (payments, escrow, bank verification and payouts); Dojah (seller identity/KYC verification, including NIN/BVN and liveness checks); Cloudflare (image hosting and delivery); Google and, where offered, Apple (social sign-in); Pusher (real-time notifications); Resend (transactional email delivery); and our cloud hosting, database, and cache providers (including MongoDB Atlas, a managed Redis provider, and cloud hosting such as AWS and Vercel). A fuller description of each provider and the data it handles is set out in Section 12 of our Terms of Service.

With authorities where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Unveeyl, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Frozen team accounts and their history are preserved unless deletion is requested and permitted.

When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You may exercise these rights by contacting us at legal@unveeyl.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport, hashed passwords, access controls, and signed webhook verification for payment events. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Some of our service providers may process data outside Nigeria. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform. The "effective date" below indicates when this version took effect.
